How did you get a book contract with your publisher, O’Reilly?

I was able to sign a book contract with O’Reilly because I was able to show them that I was good at teaching Git to a beginner audience which was the focus of my book.

I had already created an online course on Udemy teaching Git which had really good reviews and I had delivered several Git workshops for which there were recordings on YouTube with positive comments.

I also had to refine my book proposal several times in order to demonstrate how my book was going to be different than other books O’Reilly has published on the same topic for the same audience.
